How It All Began:
by Linda Case

Norm Case and Dale Hall
were both working at
Daniels Cadillac in
Hartford, Connecticut
in the late 60's until 1974.
Along with working
together, they also
were partners in a drag
racing endeavor, with Dale
as driver and Norm as crew
chief of an Injected Fuel
Dragster.

.

As they became more successful in drag racing, more and more drag racers were interested
in having Dale and Norm do their drag race engine work. And thus began
Precision Automotive, Inc.
.
Dale had always wanted to start his own engine/machine shop, so he approached Norm
with the idea. They pooled their resources, rented a building and started to purchase
equipment and build a customer base.
.
Within five years they outgrew the building they were renting so they purchased a piece
of property on Herman Drive Drive in Simsbury and had a building constructed.
This is the current location of Precision Automotive, Inc. at 9 Herman Drive.
.
Along with the growth of Precision Automotive, Inc., so grew their drag racing career - now
taking it to the National level, with great success. What set them apart in the ranks of
Top Alcohol Dragster was a very unique and unconventional race car; a front
engine car with a small block Chevy engine.
.
Through the span of their racing years, they were multi-time National Event winners,
multi-time Division Champions and multi-time record holders. Their drag racing years
ended in 1990 when costs dictated the necessity of major sponsorship and the
time needed to run a full racing schedule.
.
Precision Automotive, Inc. evolved to specializing in unusual engine work; oval track
racing, drag racing, marine racing, vintage engines, muscle car engines and collector
car engines. Also included would be deemed "regular" engine work for dealerships
and everyday street vehicles.
.
The cornerstones of Precision Automotive, Inc. has always been the fact that 99.9% of
all work is done in-house. This has enabled Precision Automotive, Inc. to have complete
control of all engine jobs, thus insuring quality work: a source of great pride to -
Norm, Dale, Linda, Chris, Mike and others who have worked for us.
.
2009 marks 35 years for Precision Automotive, Inc. -
another source of pride for all involved!
