“Steady Eddie” Book To Be The Focus of Gary Danko’s
Speedway Line Report Radio Show Monday April 23rd

    The Professor of Racing Journalism, Bones Bourcier, who edited the new book “Steady Eddie”, Memories of Modified Racings Fastest Professor will be one of the guests on the Monday, April 23rd edition of the Speedway Line Report Radio Show with Gary Danko from 6 to 7:30 P.M. Also joining Gary to talk about the new book will be Eddie’s son and current Whelen Modified Tour Driver, Eddie Flemke, Jr., friends of Eddie Sr., Bob Cuneo of Chassis Dynamics and Bo-Dyn Bobsleds and Billy “Bear” Calicchio.
    Gary Danko’s Speedway Line Report airs every Monday night, 90 minutes, from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. on Waterbury, CT’s WATR Radio 1320 A.M. For those out of the listening area the show is also streamed LIVE over the Internet by logging onto www.thespeedwaylinereport.com. The radio shows are also archived in “mp3 format” for listening at your convenience. The Speedway Line Report is a racing talk radio program covering both local and national auto racing news where listeners are encouraged to voice their views by calling into the show at (203) 757-1320.
    There will also be a segment with NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Director Ed Cox, who will be discussing the 2007 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Season.
    Bones Bourcier is the author of acclaimed biographies on Tony Stewart, Richie Evans, and Bugsy Stevens; Steady Eddie promises to be another classic!
    Lew Boyd’s Coastal 181 Publishers (www.coastal181.com) is the publisher of “Steady Eddie” and many auto racing books, videos and much more! Lew was a former modified driver and one of the promoters of Stafford Speedway’s first Spring Sizzler in 1972 along with Bruce Cohen and acclaimed broadcaster and Speedway Illustrated Magazine Publisher Dick Berggren.
    In honor of Eddie, the book will first be available Sunday, April 29th at Stafford Motor Speedway’s Spring Sizzler, where Eddie had much success, with many of those who have contributed chapters to the book on hand to sign their respective segments of the book. This will be the only time you can purchase the book and get many of the contributor’s autographs.
    Some of the 21 Contributors, not all who be on hand for the book signing, include NASCAR Cup winners Pete Hamilton and Ron Bouchard, legendary team owner Junie Donlavey, modified icons Gene Bergin and Bob Judkins, broadcaster/promoter Jack Arute, Indy 500 Rookie of the Year and one of the Original Eastern Bandits Denny Zimmerman and many more! Gary will try to get an update from Coastal181 Publishers as to those who are confirmed to be in attendance at the Stafford Spring Sizzler for the book signing and announce on Monday’s Radio Show.
    Gary Danko’s Speedway Line Report Radio Show is now in it’s 9th season, first starting at WHYN Radio in Springfield, Mass. in 1998, and since 2000 has been part of WATR 1320 A.M. Radio’s Monday night programming every racing season. Gary’s resume includes being part of the broadcast team at Riverside Park Speedway, Stafford Motor Speedway and currently The New Waterford Speedbowl, and also being part of Pit Road coverage for the MRN Radio Network and cable broadcasts on SPEED and HDNET.
