Brandon Ward Overcomes Engine Trouble at Nashville
After a bent sway bar last week end at Caraway combined with an oil
leak, Brandon Ward and his #42 Rayco Safety Whelen Southern modified
car rebounded at Nashville to bring home a third place finish!
This wasn’t accomplished without a few additional problems at
Nashville. During practice Ward and his crew made the decision to
replace the engine which was experiencing technical difficulties.
Ward excused himself from practice and the crew went to work
replacing the engine.
Ward started from the last position and worked his way through the
pack. By lap 20 Ward had worked his way through the field to 9th
position. As Ward continued on his mission toward the front he
picked off cars one by one throughout the race staying out of
trouble.
When the checkered flag flew Ward landed in the third
position.
Brandon Ward won the Sunoco Rookie of the Race award and
Powerade Power Move of the Race and currently is 10th in points with
LW Miller leading the way in points!
