WaterSnoGo ALL-STAR MODIFIED SHOWDOWN
ROUND #3 THIS WEEKEND

The third event of the four race WaterSnoGo Modified Showdown takes place on Saturday, July 26 at the All-Star Speedway. With no other major Modified event scheduled for the weekend, a large number of entries have already been received for the prestigious event, with more expected.
The race will be 125 green flag laps in length, paying $5,000 to the winner. Ronnie Silk has put his North Carolina based team into the series points lead with two top five finishes and some good heat race finishes, which also award points.
Silk will be challenged for the additional $8,000 top series prize by Matt Hirschman, who is in second position in the standings. Coming off three consecutive major event victories this past week in three different cars, Hirschman is a guaranteed starter for the event.
Just two points behind Hirschman in a tie are Nine-Time NASCAR Champion Mike Stefanik, and Jon McKennedy. Both have already registered for this race.
McKennedy hopes to continue a string of top five finishes with something that has eluded him for most of the season- a victory.
"I'm looking forward to it," McKennedy stated. "All-Star is my home track. We always run good there. In the last two races we ran really well, so hopefully we can continue that. It's kind of getting old now, finishing third, fourth and fifth all the time this season. I really want to win one of these races."
Another driver who seems to always run well at All-Star is Andy Seuss. He has been struggling in a miserable stretch lately, but he has high hopes that the success will return to the track where he finished second in the first race of the series.
Also filing early entries for this special event are Jimmy Blewett, Kirk Alexander, Chris and Carl Pasteryak, Ken Barry, Bobby Grigas and Kenny White Jr.
Others planning to compete in this event are Ryan Preece, Jimmy Kuhn and Tommy Cravenho. They will also face competition from some of the All-Star Modified regulars such as Bruce Batchelder, fresh off his July 19 victory, NASCAR New Hampshire State Points Leader Louie Mechalides, as well as youngsters Josh Cantara and Brett Gonyaw.
Three heat races and additional qualifying as needed will set the field, with a redraw of the top heat race finishers determining the starting lineup for the 125-lap event.
The WaterSnoGo All-Star Modified Showdown Series holds its only summertime event this Saturday night, July 26. With the recent cancellation of the Race of Champions event originally scheduled for the same day, All-Star Speedway is now the only place to find a major Modified event this weekend.
The night's activities will also include a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event. Everything is in place for this to become the best short-track Tour-Type Modified race of the year. Please join us for the WaterSnoGo All-Star Modified Showdown Round #3.
The track is located on Route 27 in Epping, New Hampshire, just five minutes from NH Highway Route 101. Heat races for the Modifieds are tentatively scheduled for 6:00 PM. For more information log onto: www.all-starspeedway.com.
