RUDOLPH SHINES AT DUNN TIRE RACEWAY PARK
MANSFIELD UP NEXT

Last Saturday night the DeLange Racing team was competing at Dunn Tire Raceway Park in Lancaster. Erick Rudolph of Ransomville was doing double duty, driving both of the #45 Original Pizza Logs/PrimeTyme Motorsports/Brigham Concrete race cars in the night's racing program. It was also Heroes Homecoming Day at DTRP, featuring celebrated local racers from the past meeting and greeting the fans before the races. This popular gathering showcased the Rudolph family with grandfather Jim and father Charlie on hand along with Erick.
The highlight of Saturday's racing schedule was the 50-lap Tommy Druar & Tony Jankowiak Memorial Race for the Modifieds. Rudolph started the event from 11th and battled his way to the front. Over the final 15 laps he sparred with race leader Chuck Hossfeld, much of the time side-by-side, to garner a strong runner-up finish. In the 30-lap SST Sportsman feature "The Kid" started eighth and drove to Victory Lane. Rudolph has won all six SST features run to date in 2008 at DTRP.
This coming weekend will be a busy one for the DeLange Racing team. On Saturday they will head west for their first-ever appearance at Mansfield Motorsports Park in Ohio. Rudolph will drive the #45 Original Pizza Logs/PrimeTyme Motorsports/Brigham Concrete Modified that evening in the Whelen 150 for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
"We are very excited about racing for the first time at Mansfield with the NASCAR Modified Tour," explains team owner Dave DeLange. "The Speedway has the reputation of being a first-rate facility and we enjoy competing with the many fine teams and drivers on the Tour. It should be a fun day of racing."
After the Mansfield event the team will turn around and return to the Buffalo area, racing on Sunday afternoon in the Super Sunday Showdown at Dunn Tire Raceway Park. It will be a busy day for Erick, competing in a 100-lap Race of Champions Modified Tour event along with twin 50-lap features for the SST Sportsman.
