LONGACRE SIGNS ON AS RACING'S SPEEDY AWARDS SPONSOR
Longacre Racing Products, of Monroe, Washington, has been named the
official sponsor of the SPEEDY Awards presented each year at
SpeedwayEXPO. Each Award winner receives a special race-car steering
wheel from Longacre as a trophy.
"With the winner's name and details inscribed on a brass plate set
into the hub, these racing wheels look great and are really
appropriate," said Karl Fredrickson, Editor of Speedway Illustrated
Magazine, which produces EXPO and the SPEEDY Awards.
Tom Glithero, Longacre Racing Products Vice-President, said, "We
are proud to sponsor the SPEEDY Awards. To recognize some of the
excellent people in our sport, from Breakout Racer of the year to
Best Individual Promotion, is outstanding!"
Longacre has been a prime supplier to the motorsports community for
more than
40
years. The company has an enviable reputation for customer service
and for supplying durable, high-quality racing equipment and tools
at reasonable prices. "Our goal is to use our experience to produce
better, more reliable parts and pieces for teams who take their
racing as seriously as we do," Glithero said.
SpeedwayEXPO annually honors 11 deserving members of the racing
community with SPEEDY Awards. The winners are nominated by fellow
racers and fans and the winners are then selected by the editors of
Speedway Illustrated Magazine. To see the SPEEDY categories and
