SPEEDWAYEXPO'S 'PET OF THE EXPO' RETURNS
Prizes include fame and a year's supply of Canidae All Natural Pet
Food
SpeedwayEXPO 2009, presented by Sunoco, will for the third
consecutive year select an official "Pet of the EXPO." The honor is
open to all animals (except snakes-we don't like snakes). In
addition to being featured as Speedway Illustrated Magazine's Shop
Pet of the Month, the winner will also receive a full year's supply
of food from Canidae All Natural Pet Food, the sponsor of the
competition.
Judging is based on the pet's charm and appeal as expressed in a
photo, and the pet's biography. Print or digital entries should be
submitted to Barbara Desmond, Speedway Illustrated, 107 Elm Street,
Salisbury, MA 01952, or
bdesmond@speedwayillustrated.com. (Please, only one image
per email; or put them on a disk and mail it to her. Don't forget to
put your own name and address on any submitted materials.)
In addition, pet photos and descriptions may be submitted in person
at SpeedwayEXPO on Friday, February 27, the first day of the show
and the final day to enter. All pet photos will be displayed in the
magazine's booth at EXPO.
Last year's Pet of the EXPO was a three-month-old Yorkie named
Romeo. The winner is pictured with Kristy
Chaves, who competes in the Allison Legacy North Series.
SpeedwayEXPO tickets purchased in advance offer a $5 discount off
the price at the gate. These money-saving tickets are available at
978-465-9099 x 103 (ask for Barbara) or online at
SpeedwayEXPO.com.
Produced by Speedway Illustrated Magazine and sponsored by Sunoco,
SpeedwayEXPO will be at the Big E, in West Springfield, MA, Feb. 27
- March 1, 2009. It is the largest event for drivers, teams, tracks,
and racing vendors in the Northeast. SpeedwayEXPO will launch the
2009 racing season with more than 200 new race cars and old
favorites, and hundreds of exhibits for drivers, crews, and fans
from a dozen states and Canada. Thousands of enthusiasts pack more
than 130,000 square feet of exhibit space to take part in seminars
and demonstrations; see retailers of racing gear and memorabilia;
and meet today's and yesterday's racing celebrities.
