The Race of Champions Dart Asphalt Modified Tour drivers have circled Saturday August 30th on the calendar from day one this year. The reason why is that not only will the 125 lap feature be a tune – up for the upcoming 200 lap Sunoco Race of Champions at the Oswego Speedway on September 20th. But the Parts Plus 125 takes place on Budweiser International Classic Weekend at the Oswego Speedway.
   With all of the history surrounding the greatest Super Modified race in the country the Modifieds have always been an important part of this storied weekend and this year will be no different. Due to a change in scheduling by a rival series many top notch asphalt Modified drivers will be invading the Oswego Speedway on Saturday August 30th looking for the $5,000 top prize.
   The last two years Jan Leaty has won this event using two different strategies and I’m sure this year Jan will be thinking of another strategy to out think his strong competition that will be facing him on this night.
   Jan will be joined by RoC Tour regulars Pete Brittain, Daren Scherer, Billy Putney, John Markovic, Mike Leaty, Rick Kluth, Doug Reaume, and TJ Potrzebowski. Joining these fine drivers will be Oswego regulars Sege Fidanza, Eric Beers, Steven Reed, Matt Hirschman, Lee Sherwood, and Tommy Kinsella.
   Gate times for Saturday August 30th sees the pits opening at ten in the morning with hot laps beginning at one in the afternoon and the first heat hitting the track at four in the afternoon.
