ROB SUMMERS AND WOODY PITKAT SCORE
TECH-NET SPRING SIZZLER FEATURE WINS AT STAFFORD SPEEDWAY

The 37th Annual Tech-Net Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST kicked off the 2008 SK Modified® and Late Model seasons at Stafford Motor Speedway with Rob Summers taking the 40-lap SK Modified® feature and Woody Pikat taking the 30-lap Late Model feature.
The 40-lap SK Modified® feature took the green flag with Eric Berndt setting the early pace, but Woody Pitkat took over the race lead from Berndt on a lap-4 restart. Pitkat stayed out front until he bobbled in turn 4 on lap-18, which shot him up the track and allowed Rob Summers to dive to the bottom groove and take over the race lead. Once Summers took the race lead, he led the rest of the way to pick up his first career SK Modified® feature victory at Stafford. Pitkat gave chase in the closing laps and closed in on Summers, but couldn't get close enough to race for the victory.
Rounding out the top-5 behind Summers and Pitkat was Chris Jones, Keith Rocco, and Doug Coby.
The 30-lap Late Model feature event saw Woody Pitkat drive to the front of the field in the second half of the race to take down the feature victory. Wayne Coury, Jr. started on the outside pole and moved into the lead on the first lap. Coury held the race lead until a lap-18 restart that saw Tom Butler overtake Coury for the lead. Butler held the lead until lap-22 when Pitkat drove past. Mike Quintiliano ran the final 7 laps of the race in second place, but never got close enough to Pitkat to challenge for the lead.
Rounding out the top-5 behind Pitkat and Quintiliano was Ryan Posocco, Tom Butler, and Scott Cook.
