TED CHRISTOPHER JOINS CAMPING WORLD EAST SERIES FIELD
FOR STAFFORD SPEEDWAY’S CARQUEST FALL FINAL WEEKEND;
CHASING SK MODIFIED® AND MODIFIED TOUR CHAMPIONSHIPS

   Stafford Motor Speedway’s all-time winningest driver Ted Christopher will once again be a busy man when the 36th Annual CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend comes to Stafford Motor Speedway on October 10, 11, and 12. Christopher has joined the Camping World East Series field to go along with his Whelen Modified Tour and SK Modified® efforts, where he is chasing after championships. Christopher will drive a Ted Marsh Chevrolet, a combination that has reached victory lane at Stafford once before in the Camping World Series East Division.
   Christopher and Marsh have enjoyed past success together at Stafford with Christopher taking down his only career Stafford Camping World East Series victory in the June 30, 2000 CARQUEST 150. That night, Christopher qualified in the 20th position, but weaved his way through traffic in a hard charge that had him in the lead for the first time on lap-82 from Brad Leighton. Christopher went on to lead the final 68 laps of the race and he took the checkered flag.
   Christopher currently leads Matt Hirschman in the chase for the 2008 Whelen Modified Tour championship, and Christopher already has one victory at Stafford this season, winning the April CARQUEST Tech-Net Spring Sizzler. Christopher’s track knowledge and experience at Stafford could go a long way in helping guide him to a first career Whelen Modified Tour championship. In addition to his NASCAR Touring Series rides, Christopher will be looking to win his second consecutive and seventh overall Stafford SK Modified® track championship. Christopher enters the CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend trailing Keith Rocco by 14 points, or seven positions on the track. Christopher’s aggressive on-track style will suit him well as he knows he will have to go all out during the 40-lap SK Modified® feature event in order to overtake Rocco and win his seventh championship.
   CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend kicks off on Friday, October 10th with practice for Stafford’s five weekly divisions. Practice runs from 2pm to 6:30pm and the grandstand gates will be open free of charge to the public for the practice session.
   Saturday has practice sessions for the Camping World East Series and Whelen Modified Tour beginning at 10:00am. Time Trials get started at 2:00pm with heat and consolation events for Stafford’s five weekly divisions to follow. Closing out the Saturday on-track activities will be feature events for Stafford’s SK Light Modified, Limited Late Model, and DARE Stock divisions, including the Paradiso-Muska DARE Stock Shoot-Out. Grandstand gates for Saturday open at 10:00am.
   The 36th Annual CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend concludes on Sunday with feature events for the Camping World East Series, the Whelen Modified Tour, and Stafford’s SK Modified® and Late Model divisions. Spectator gates open at 9:30am with the famous CARQUEST Belts and Hose Pit Party taking place from 10:00am to 11:00am. The Camping World East Series takes to the track for their feature at 12 noon, followed by the SK Modified® feature, the Whelen Modified Tour feature, and the Late Model feature will be the last on-track action of the weekend.
   Tickets for the 36th Annual CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend are now on sale at the Stafford Motor Speedway Box Office.
