RYAN PREECE STRONG AT STAFFORD
BUT LUCK GETS HIM AGAIN

Chemung was a tough day for Ryan Preece and the #3 BRE race team. The BRE #3 modified had motor issues in the heat race, causing him to go to a back-up car. Jeff Preece and the BRE team worked hard to get the back-up car ready for the race. Ryan would roll off 25th on the grid. He worked his way up to 10th, only to spin trying to avoid a wreck. Ryan lost a lap in the process, but got it back with the help of the lucky dog. He soon began running through the pack. With a green, white, checkered, Ryan jumped to the outside, moving from 14th to 11th on the final lap, but coming out of turn 4 cars got together, and wrecked, collecting Ryan. A strong run was not shown by his finish at Chemung.
Ryan Preece and the BRE #3 team headed to Stafford in high hopes to win the race this past weekend. They had a very racy car in practice and qualified 10th in the field of 33. At the green flag, Ryan immediately went from 10th to 5th on the outside. Ryan rode behind #46 Eric Beers till about lap 42-44 where he made his charge and passed him to take 4th spot away. He steadily reeled in the top 3 cars, where he would stay until the caution would come out at lap 52. The BRE #3 Davidson Food Products Chevy had a outstanding pit stop. They were the first car out of the pits, putting Ryan 4th in the line up. Quickly, Ryan moved his way into 2nd. Looking for a line to pass the leader #16 Mike Stefanik. Ryan would then stay in second. On the restart Ryan would battle with Stefanik, trying to get the lead, lap after lap, but was unsuccessful and dropped back to 3rd. Ryan held on to 3rd for next 25 laps, until at lap 115 he suddenly dropped off the pace coming off turn 2. He pulled it in the pits and after the crew looked under the hood, they called it a day. The dream for winning the Fall Final in 2008 was done. There is always 2009 though for Ole’ Blue at Stafford Motor Speedway. They were strong there all year, being in the lead in 3 out of the 4 races there.
Ryan and the BRE Crew will continue their 2008 search for Victory Lane at the World Series. The #3 car is the defending winner of the race, and Ryan believes they can win it.

THE END
