MYERS EARNS 14th COORS LIGHT POLE

Burt Myers has made a habit of being fast in qualifying. Saturday, he scored his 14th Coors Light Pole in the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour – twice as many as any other driver – at Caraway Speedway.
Myers covered the .455-mile oval in 16.199 seconds and was the only driver to break 101 mph at 101.117 in qualifying for Saturday night’s Whelen Southern Modified 150. It was Myers’ seventh career pole at Caraway.
The post-qualifying re-draw wasn’t as kind to Myers. First he drew the No. 10 pill, which means the top 10 drivers re-drew for starting position. And then he drew a No. 7, forcing him to start the No. 1 JRC Investments Ford on the fourth row. John Smith (No. 25 Tutterow Surveying Chevrolet) and Andy Seuss (No. 47 Advance Auto Parts Dodge) make up the front row.
Seuss is back on track after a wreck ended his Friday night at Ace Speedway on lap 1.
Brian Loftin (16.312/100.417) qualified second, followed by Tim Brown (16.333/100.288). Loftin will start seventh and Brown 10th. L.W. Miller, who has won the first two races of the season, qualified fifth and will start fourth.
