BRIAN LOFTIN TO LEAD FIELD TO GREEN FLAG SATURDAY

IN THE ADVANCE AUTO PARTS 199 AT BOWMAN GRAY STADIUM
NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour driver Burt Myers won the Coors
Light Pole Award in Friday night qualifying for the Advance Auto Parts
199 at Bowman Gray Stadium when he circled the famed .25-mile oval at a
speed of 67.725 mph to edge L.W. Miller for the top spot.
Friday night’s effort for Burt Myers gave him three Coors Light
Pole Awards in the last four Whelen Southern Modified Tour races 199 at
Bowman Gray.
However, following an eight-car draw-redraw it will be Brian Loftin
that will lead the 26-car field to the green flag alongside Brian King
in second. The remainder of the top-five consisted of L.W. Miller,
Jonathon Brown and Burt Myers.
The rest of the Top-10 starters for Saturday night’s 8:40 p.m.
start are Jason Myers, Tim Brown, Bobby Hutchens, George Brunnhoelzl and
Dean Ward.
