QUALIFYING AT CARAWAY: BROWN TAKES 2nd POLE

Tim Brown set a blistering pace at Caraway Speedway Saturday. After putting down the fastest lap in practice, Brown backed it up with his second Coors Light Pole Award of the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour season.
Brown circled the .455-mile oval in 16.200 seconds for an average speed of 101.111. Brown won the last race at Caraway on Sept. 6.
Burt Myers, who is competing while he appeals his one-race NASCAR suspension, qualified second fastest at 16.368 (100.073). George Brunnhoelzl II was third fastest at 16.372 (100.049).
Jason Myers and Brian Loftin were the fourth and fifth qualifiers, respectively.
Following the post-qualifying redraw of the top six qualifiers, Loftin and Brown will start on the front row. Brunnhoelzl and L.W. Miller, who qualified sixth, will make up the second row, with Burt and Jason Myers in the third row.
Loftin enters the race - the second-to-last of the season - with a 45-point lead over Brown and 47 over Miller. The race is scheduled to take the green at 8 p.m. ET.
