ROWAN PENNINK READIES FOR
DOUBLE DUTY IN 2009
The NASCAR Whelen Tour and True Value Modified
Series |
The last time the young rumbler, Rowan Pennink, was in a NASCAR Modified he
was driving away from Victory lane at Wall Speedway’s (Belmar, NJ),
Turkey Derby, after winning a prestigious 100 lap feature in November 2008.
The 2009 season has not started yet, for Rowan but he already feels like a
winner again.
“The way the 2008 season finished up in victory lane, there’s no
way I wanted it to end, stated Rowan. For 2009, I will again be driving the
Monk Mechanics hand cleaner, FBR custom fabrication #93 for the entire
NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, selected Southern Modified Tour races and the
Big Open Shows including the Race of Champions, Seekonk, North South
Shootout and Turkey Derby. We feel we are ready to step up our program. Our
team’s consistency resulted in a top ten finish in the 2008 points. Our goal
this year is to step it up and go for top 5 finishes which would also put us
in a position to go for wins.”
In addition to the NASCAR Modified tour in 2008, Rowan ran a few
races for veteran and well respected True Value Modified Series car owner,
Gary Casella. Gary has owned modified cars for many years on the True Value
Series with a number of different drivers. This year, the schedule will
allow Rowan to compete in all the True Value Modified Series races for Gary
in the Monk Mechanics, Roscoe Racing sponsored #25 with one conflict; that
being the Oct. 4th weekend. Gary is excited about working with Rowan for the
entire 2009 season.
