MOTORSPORTS 2010 PAGEANT
TO BE SPONSORED BY BPG RACING |
The hugely popular Ms. Motorsports Pageant, part of the Motorsports 2010
presented by StreetBlaze 100 Race Car and Trade Show, will have a new
sponsor.
BPG Racing, owned by successful Blue Bell, PA businessman Chad
Sinon, will take over sponsorship of the pageant replacing U.S.Tobacco, the
long time sponsor of the event. U.S.Tobacco, acquired by another company
this year, will still participate in the show.
“This is an exciting opportunity. I have wanted to be involved in
the show for years,” said Sinon. “With the show now back in our area I felt
it made for perfect timing. The show offers excellent exposure for us with
the huge attendance that is expected.”
BPG Racing is one of the most successful stock car racing teams in
the area and fielded cars for top talents such as Duane Howard, Craig
VonDohren and Ryan Watt during the 2009 season. BPG Racing sponsorship can
also be found on other race cars in competition at area tracks.
Part of the sponsorship agreement includes having Ernie Saxton
return as the Master of Ceremonies for the pageant. Saxton served as MC for
22 years before retiring a couple years back. “I am looking forward to
putting on the tux, if it fits, one more time,” said Saxton. “With it being
the 25th anniversary of the show and the involvement of BPG Racing it just
creates an even more special opportunity for me. However this will just be a
one time deal for me.”
The show is scheduled for January 22nd thru 24th, 2010 and will
take place, for the first time, at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in
Oaks, PA. The new site for the show is just a few miles from where the show
got its start 25 years ago at the Valley Forge Convention Center.
Motorsports 2010 presented by StreetBlaze 100, filling all 220,000
square feet of the Center, will feature top name names and personalities in
the sport along with just about everything imaginable in motorsports on
display. Hundreds of racing vehicles will be part of the show along with
autograph sessions, seminars, the Ms. Motorsports pageant and so much more.
Returning to a three-day show format, Motorsports 2010 will be open
to the public on Friday, January 22nd, at 3 p.m. with a 10 p.m. closing. On
Saturday, January 23, the show will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on
Sunday, January 24th, the show goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Many special attractions and promotions are in the planning stages as
details are finalized for the 25th anniversary edition of Motorsports 2010
presented by StreetBlaze 100.
