FIRST RACE OF RoC DART ASPHALT MODIFIED TOUR
CHAMPIONSHIP
SERIES THIS SUNDAY AUGUST 2ND AT THE CHEMUNG SPEEDROME |
This Sunday, August 2nd, the Chemung Speedrome will kick off the Race of
Champions Dart Asphalt Modified Tour Championship Series with a 150 lap
feature. Many people are still talking about the 150 lapper that took place
last year at Chemung with all of the exciting racing that took place all
afternoon long.
With this race being the first race of the four Championship Series
races and with all the racers basically even in points you can bet that a
strong field of Modifieds will be in attendance. Defending RoC Champion Matt
Hirschman who is the current point leader will be in attendance along with
Rusty Smith, Daren Scherer, Mike Leaty, TJ Potrzebowski, Jan Leaty, Billy
Putney, Pete Brittain, John Markovic, Tony Hanbury, and a host of other top
asphalt Modified driving talent.
Pit gates open at eleven in the morning on August 2nd with
grandstand gates and hot laps beginning at one in the afternoon and racing
slated to start at 2:15 Sunday afternoon.
