ERIC BEERS JOINS DELANGE RACING IN 2009

DeLange Racing of Lockport, New York is proud to announce that Eric Beers of Northampton, Pennsylvania will be the team's driver in 2009. Beers replaces Erick Rudolph of Ransomville, who has decided to broaden his racing program in the upcoming season. Beers is an established, successful Modified racer who currently drives for car owner Bob Katon, Jr. and the Berkley Auto Racing team on the NASCAR Modified Tour. Beers will race the DeLange Racing #45 Modified in a limited schedule of local and regional events in the Northeast. The exact list of races is yet to be determined.
Team owner Dave DeLange recognizes the success his team has celebrated with talented teenager Rudolph and his family team. "We have enjoyed considerable progress and achievement over the last four years with Erick and his family. We are proud to have played a part in his career growth and success. His family team has chosen to adopt a different philosophy in 2009. As a result, we have decided to go in another direction with a new driver. We wish Erick and his family team continued success in 2009 and beyond."
Beers and his crew will maintain the DeLange Modified from their shop in Northampton. They will transport the car to the racetrack and service the car as the pit crew at each race. The Beers team has accrued several years of experience while servicing the Beers Motorsports #9 Modified at various tracks on the east coast with a proven record of success.
Dave DeLange sees the change in drivers as a positive realignment for his team. "We are pleased to have Eric Beers join us this season as the driver of the #45 Modified. His talent as a racer is obvious when you look at his career accomplishments. Having a proven winning driver of his caliber and experience is a huge step in the right direction as we move down a new path."
Beers will continue to pilot the #46 Modified for Katon on the full 2009 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour schedule. DeLange Racing will focus on a local/regional schedule of races in the upcoming season. The exact list of events is yet to be determined as the team awaits the various tracks and series to announce their 2009 plans. Beers is energized with this new opportunity.
"I'm very excited to team up with Dave DeLange and his team," notes Beers. "He is a very dedicated racer and that's what I am all about. He will provide us with top-notch equipment wherever we race and I know we will be a threat to win at any event we attend. I can't wait to get started."
The 2009 team schedule will be announced shortly as the tracks announce their schedules for the upcoming season. Stay tuned! It will be an exciting new path for DeLange Racing.
