NASCAR WHELEN
MODIFIED DATE AT CHEMUNG CANCELLED
Event Scheduled
For Aug. 29 Was Rained Out |
NASCAR and Chemung (N.Y.) Speedrome have announced that the NASCAR Whelen
Modified Tour event at the track, that was rained out on its originally
scheduled date of Aug. 29, will not be made up this season.
“We worked really hard at trying to find a suitable date to
reschedule and unfortunately, we just weren’t able to find one,” said Chad
Little, series director of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. “We looked at
several options with the promoter, John White, and discussed those with the
competitors, but it just wasn’t going to be possible. We were really looking
forward to racing at Chemung. The track has a lot of Modified racing history
and the fans up there are great.”
The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will next race at New Hampshire
Motor Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 19. The New Hampshire 100 is set to go
green at 1 p.m. in Loudon, N.H.
