IT IS ROWAN PENNINK'S

You
normally do not see Rowan Pennink or the car he is competing in damaged or
in race mishaps on the track. “Yes, we got into it there. I do not know what
really happened going into one. Everyone jammed up. I thought that we were
going to be fine going through the corner but, everyone just pile in and run
over the top of us. The guys did a really good job of getting the car back
together and getting us back out there, but it was only to be in more
trouble. I ended up wrecking the car really bad the second time.
I do not know what happened to him (TC) but as I was coming around the
corner I thought that they got all crossed up. I did not think that anyone
was going to spin out and then Teddy ended up spinning out. I tried to go up
around the high side of him but he rolled up the track and I had no where to
go. I ended up ripping the right front off and came back and bent the
chassis. We spent a couple of long nights working on it (the #19 car) to get
it back to where we are now. Now we have some after the incident problems
that with the clutch and stuff now with everything being out of line. So we
are trying to get that fixed up before time trials.
We are normally are really good about staying out of the wrecks and all the
trouble but luck just has not gone our way this week. We have been
struggling. Hopefully we will get out there and see what we can do in this
longer race. Normally I like running longer races so hopefully it will work
to our advantage and we can finish off the week with a good finish.
I think that we have some of the better pit stop guys on our team so
hopefully we can get in and out of the pits faster and it will work to our
advantage. |
