NASCAR WHELEN
MODIFIED TOUR POSTPONED AT STAFFORD
Tech-Net Spring
Sizzler Presented by CARQUEST to Run May 1 |
|
Due to rain in the area on Sunday, and more
forecasted throughout the day, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s
race at Stafford Motor Speedway has been postponed to Saturday, May
1.
The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour was to take the green flag today in
the Tech-Net Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST at 2:30 p.m. The
tentative start time for the rescheduled race next Saturday is 3:15
p.m.
Action yesterday at Stafford was highlighted by a record-setting
performance in qualifying from Bobby Santos, whose fast lap of
17.965 seconds (100.195 mph) surpassed Matt Hirschman’s
three-year-old record of 18.009 (99.950). Santos will be joined in
the front row next Saturday by Doug Coby when the 200-lap Tech-Net
Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST takes the green flag.
