Automall Vice President, Rob Valenti, and Modified Racing
Series President, Jack Bateman, have jointly announced, the signing of a
three-year
contract making Valenti, the official sponsor, of the New England based
touring series for modified racecars.
The series will be known as the Valenti Modified Racing Series. (VMRS)
“We are happy to be involved, proud to have the Valenti name associated with
the series,” said Valenti, on behalf of his family’s involvement. “ We’re
excited about the growth of the series. Last year we kind of felt each other
out. We are looking forward to the new season.”
The new deal will carry through the 2013 season, a commitment Bateman has
been seeking. “Last year the Valenti family came on board and showed a
strong commitment to our series as the presenting sponsor. This year we are
proud to have their name as the title sponsor. The Valenti family is strong
supporters of racing and has been for nearly two decades. Our series is
grateful for their support.”
The family owned and operated business, based in Mystic, CT., and Westerly,
R.I., specializes in new and pre-owned vehicle sales and service. The
Valenti family has been in the automotive business for over 80 years.
The Valenti Modified Racing Series season will kick off its eighth season
Saturday April 2, and Sunday April 3, at the famed Waterford, CT. Speedbowl.
Qualifying for the Budweiser Blast Off weekend will take place on Saturday
with the 100-lap feature race on Sunday.
The April event will be the first of two appearances at Waterford for the
VMRS. The series will return there August 13th, for the 4th annual Wings &
