RICKY'S CHASE TO THE RACE AND BONUS PROGRAM ANNOUNCED


Already paying the largest purse in the eight-year history of the Valenti Modified Racing Series, thanks to the financial support of prime corporate sponsors, Mascoma Savings Bank, of Lebanon, NH, and Irving Energy, of Portsmouth, NH, Ricky’s Race for Kids founder, Donnie Miller SR. announced today, a four-race series that will carry it’s own purse and point fund giving modified racers another opportunity to add to their winnings from the July 16 race and that events $36,350 purse.

The race benefits David’s House, a home away from home for families with ill or injured children receiving treatment through children’s hospital at Dartmouth- Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

For four consecutive weeks, VMRS competitors will be afforded the opportunity to earn valuable points, and become a guaranteed starter for the race at the Canaan Fair Speedway, Canaan, NH.

Dubbed “Ricky’s Chase To The Race,” qualifying races will be held Thursday night, June 16, at Thompson, CT, Speedway, followed by the Stafford, CT, Speedway, on Friday night, June 24. Race three will take place at Monadnock Speedway, Winchester, NH, July 2, with the final qualifier, July 8, at Lee USA Speedway, Lee, NH.

The driver with the highest finishing point position not a guaranteed starter will also receive a guaranteed starting spot. Point payoff for the four- race shootout will pay, $1200 to win, $600 for second, $400 for third, $300 for fourth, $200 for fifth, and $100 for sixth.
Additionally, a race winner bonus has been posted with drivers given the opportunity to win additional money based on races won.

Win 2 races out of 4 - $1,000.00 bonus
Win 3 races out of 4 - $2,500.00 bonus
Win 4 races out of 4 - $5,000.00 bonus

Bonus winner MUST compete in Ricky’s Race For Kids on July 16th at Canaan Fair Speedway to be compensated.

The winner of each race will receive a special commemorative desk clock presented to them by a David’s House family.
The winner of the main event at Canaan Fair Speedway will receive a 7’ Grandfather Clock presented to them by Dick Cyr, the founder of David’s House.

Miller, the father of the late race driver Ricky Miller, who died in 2004 from race related injuries, said, “ We are continuing our effort to make Ricky’s Race For Kids a marquee event for competitors, sponsors, and fans. Hopefully as many teams as possible will compete in these races to help continue our goal to raise as much money as possible for David’s House.”
