|
Coming
off a 25-year sponsorship milestone, CARQUEST Auto
Parts will return for their 26th consecutive season
as the Elite Corporate Sponsor of Stafford Speedway.
The partnership is one of the longest continuously
running sponsorships in Motorsports.
Throughout the years CARQUEST has brought race fans
memorable events at the Connecticut half-mile. The
2011 season will be no different, as CARQUEST will
bring fans four exciting events starting with the
40th Annual Tech-Net Spring Sizzler, April 29-May 1,
and culminating with the 39th Annual Fall Final,
Sept 30-Oct 2. The Whelen Modified Tour will
highlight both events along with Stafford’s five
NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions.
CARQUEST will also bring fans the high-speed action
of CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday, on June 28th, which
showcases the ISMA Super Modifieds, NEMA Midgets,
and Pro-4 Modifieds. This is the 8th consecutive
year for this open wheeled extravaganza. In
addition, CARQUEST will host Stafford’s SK
Modifieds® with the 8th Annual CARQUEST SK 150 on on
July 22nd. “At CARQUEST, our goal is to bring fans
the most exciting racing around,” said CARQUEST VP
of Marketing Rich Pallai. “We’re excited about
continuing the tradition of partnering with Stafford
Speedway to put on race events that the fans of New
England will enjoy.”
Throughout the 25-year history CARQUEST and Stafford
have always tried to bring new events to the
half-mile. For 2011 Stafford and CARQUEST have
unveiled a very unique charity event, CARQUEST
Champions for Charities, which will accompany
CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday program. Past and present
open wheel champions will be racing Wild Thing
Go-Karts on the Stafford Mini-Mile in the name of
charity. Each driver will be raising money for their
charities throughout the months leading up to the
event and starting spots for the qualifying races
will be set in order of the most funds raised.

CARQUEST Champions for Charities race can be found
