The Chrome Horn - Valenti Modified Racing Series

Keith Rocco, of Meriden, CT, dominated Saturday night’s Valenti Modified Racing Series event at Thompson Speedway when he garnered the ‘Valenti Auto Mall 75’ season finale for his second win this season and his third career victory.

“When we took the lead the guys put a lot of pressure on me and I had to work my car pretty hard. I knew Barrett (Tommy) was saving it right to the end. Want to thank this team, owners John and Maina Rufrano, they give me an awesome car.”

Ted Christopher, of Plainville, CT, provided pressure in the early going with Barrett, of Millis, MA, and newly crowned VMRS Champion Rowan Pennink of Huntingdon, Valley, PA, chasing the winner in the late stages.

Pennink settled for second, Barrett third, Richard Savary, of Canton, MA, fourth, and Christopher fifth.

Sixth through tenth were, Dave Etheridge, Jon McKennedy, Ryan Preece, Louie Mechalides, and Brad Van Houton.

Rocco’s three series wins have been at Waterford, Stafford, and Thompson Speedways.

Pennink, Keith Rocco, and Savary won qualifying races.
