TINIO
MOTORSPORTS AND BOBBY SANTOS
ANNOUNCE NEW SPONSORSHIP DEAL |
Tinio
Motorsports and driver Bobby Santos are pleased to
announce a new sponsorship deal with Curb Records
that will go a long way towards keeping them on the
track all season on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
Since 1979, Curb Records and founder Mike Curb have
been involved with auto racing as both a sponsor and
car owner. Race cars with the Curb name on them have
won more than 300 races in 25 different series. Curb
has been a part of 10 National Championships in
racing.
Santos is one of the most accomplished short track
racers in the country. The former USAC and NWMT
Champion is eager and enthused by his opportunity to
return to the pavement Modified division with Tinio
Motorsports. Santos won the NWMT Championship in
2010.
"I'm excited to be racing this car," Santos said
after qualifying for the season opening event at
Thompson (Conn.) International Speedway. "I've got
to thank car owner Sully Tinio and everyone that is
involved with helping this team.
"I'm looking forward to the season. The guys give me
a good car. We're going to do one race at a time,
but I think we are going to find success and be able
to run all of the races."
Curb has sponsored many nationally known race teams
over the past 30 plus seasons, including drivers
like Dale Earnhardt Sr., and Richard Petty and more
recently Johnny Sauter's NASCAR Camping World Truck
Series effort, and Joey Saldana on the World of
Outlaws Tour.
The Curb name will appear on the Tinio number 44
Modified beginning with the second NWMT event of the
season in two weeks, at the Stafford (Conn.) Motor
Speedway. Mike Curb is an accomplished song writer,
and he also owns the largest independent record
label in the country. More information can be found
on the web at:
www.curb.com.
Additional sponsorship for the team is provided by
Imperial Cars, a large campus style dealership
located in Mendon, Mass. The Imperial experience
includes Ford, Dodge, Jeep, Chevrolet and Chrysler
vehicles, as well as several shops, car wash and a
barber shop. Find more information at
www.Imperialcars.com.
Dan Kelley Morgan Horses/Victory Lane Stables,
Olivas Market and Ruth Pointer Enterprises are also
a part of the sponsorship involvement. Brendan Kelly
Music has signed on as a team sponsor just this past
week as well. Other sponsors include the Tinio
Corporation, Worldband Technical Consultants, J.J.
Mechanical Services, Iacovelli Excavation and Kapi's
Pub Family Restaurant.
Steve Lemay is crew chief for the Sully Tinio owned
race team. The Troyer Chassis car, purchased through
Northeast Race Cars and Parts, and powered by Billy
'The Kid' Motors is sure to be a team to be reckoned
with this season on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour
thanks to the many generous sponsors who all hope to
see Bobby Santos in victory lane this season. |
