SPEEDBOWL
PARTNERS WITH COCA-COLA AND HENNY PENNY
FOR NASCAR WHELEN MODIFIED TOUR EVENT |
 Waterford
Speedbowl has announced a joint partnership with
Coca-Cola Bottling of Southeastern New England and
Henny Penny convenience stores to promote its
upcoming NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event. The
collaboration will include in-store displays and
ticket giveaways, culminating with a promotional
event at the Henny Penny location on Route 85 in
Waterford. The Speedbowl hosts the cars and stars of
the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour on Saturday, June 22
for the running of the Mr. Rooter 161.
Race fans have a chance to enter to win two adult
grandstand admission tickets to the Mr. Rooter 161,
courtesy of Coca-Cola Bottling of Southeastern New
England, at twenty four Henny Penny convenience
store locations around the state. Each participating
location will accept entries into the giveaway
through 9:00am on Wednesday, June 19. Up to 24
winners will be selected and notified of their prize
in advance of the Mr. Rooter 161 event.
“We’re extremely pleased our partners at Coca-Cola
Bottling of Southeastern New England wanted to give
race fans this great opportunity” stated Speedbowl
owner and promoter Terry Eames. “If last year is any
indication, this will be a hot ticket and another
great race”.
Fans and convenience store patrons are encouraged to
look for an in-store display at participating Henny
Penny locations for their chance to enter the Mr.
Rooter 161 ticket giveaway. Winners must be age 18
or older and one winning prize will be awarded per
person. Official giveaway rules can be found by

In addition, a promotional appearance will take
place on Thursday, June 20 at the Henny Penny
location at 973 Hartford Turnpike (Route 85) in
Waterford between 5:00pm and 7:00pm. A NASCAR Whelen
Modified Tour racecar and the Official Waterford
Speedowl Pace Car will be on hand, along with “Miss
L”, co-host of Jammin’ 107.7 FM’s morning show. Fan
giveaways and special offers from the convenience
store are planned as well. The rain date for the
event is Friday, June 21.
Waterford Speedbowl and Coca-Cola Bottling of
Southeastern New England reached an agreement
earlier this year to bring the beverage provider on
board as the official soft drink partner of the
Speedbowl. Headquartered in Waterford, Coca-Cola
Bottling of Southeastern New England distributes
Coca-Cola brands across southeastern Connecticut and
Rhode Island since 1938. |
