Motor Speedway has announced that Town Fair Tire has
signed on to become the title sponsor of the June 20
Valenti Modified Racing Series event. The 2014
season will mark the 16th consecutive season that
Town Fair Tire has been an advertising partner at
the famed Connecticut half-mile track.
Prior to their sponsorship of this year's Town Fair
Tire VMRS 80, Town Fair Tire has served in wide
variety of sponsorship options at Stafford. Town
Fair Tire started out in 1999 as a PitStopper
Magazine and Billboard advertiser, and since then
they have stepped up their participation to become
the title sponsors of Town Fair Tire Summer Heat,
the August NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event, Town
Fair Tire Summer Blast-Off, and last season the
sponsor of Town Fair Tire Military Appreciation
Night.

Last year's Town Fair Tire VMRS 80 was won by Tommy
Barrett, Jr., making him the first repeat VMRS
feature winner at Stafford in 8 races. Former
Stafford ProStock and Whelen Modified Tour
competitor Dave Etheridge took the early race lead
and drove away from the field, only to have his
large lead erased by a caution flag with 21 laps to
go. Barrett used the restart to his advantage to get
around Etheridge and he then had to hold off a hard
charging Steve Masse, who would win at Stafford in
August, in order to take the checkered flag.

The June 20 Town Fair Tire VMRS 80 will be the first
of three Valenti Modified Racing Series events to be
held at Stafford during the 2014 season. The VMRS
will return on July 18th for the 3rd Annual VRMS 80
and on August 29 for the 5th Annual VMRS 80. Tickets
for all three VMRS events are available and on sale
now. Tickets for the Town Fair Tire VMRS 80 as well
as the other two VMRS events are priced at $27.50
for adult general admission tickets, $5.00 for
children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and under
are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an
adult. Reserved seating will be priced at $30.00 for
all ages. All ticket prices include 10% CT Admission
Tax.
