The Chrome Horn - Valenti Modified Racing Series

With the month of August in high gear, the Valenti Modified Racing Series travels to Seekonk (MA) Speedway, Saturday night, August 16, for another 100-lap green flag race, the series final appearance of the season at the Route 6 oval.

Justin Bonsignore, of Holtsville, NY, driver of the Art Barry Spearpoint Racing # 21 continues to lead the point’s standings, thanks to his fifth runner-up finish last weekend at Waterford, CT. The Bonsignore/Barry team is an expected entry for Seekonk.

Reigning Champion Rowan Pennink, of Huntingdon Valley, PA, will enter the event despite his involvement in a crash last weekend that caused “extensive damage,” according to car owner, Gary Casella. “We received great service from Northeast Race Cars this week. We may be a little late but we’ll be there Saturday,” said Casella

The series only three-time winner this season, Richard Savary, of Canton, MA., is an expected entry. He too was involved in the late race crash at Waterford but is ready to go. Savary won at Seekonk in May.

Local favorite Todd Annarummo, of Swansea, MA, a former series winner at Seekonk, is expected. Another driver with an extensive Seekonk background is Dick Houlihan, of Bridgewater, Mass. Houlihan plans to compete.

Seekonk Late Model driver, Ryan Vanasse, of Warwick, R.I., will make his first start in a modified wheeling car # 76 from the Perry Race Team from Rhode Island.

Two-time series champion Chris Pasteryak, of Lisbon, CT, will enter the Seekonk program. Nashua, NH, veteran Norm Wrenn, Preston, CT, driver Max Zachem, and second-generation driver, Dylan Kopec, are expected.

Racing gets underway at 6:00 PM.
