 Since
its inception in 2003, the North-South Shootout has
been one of the most anticipated annual events in
short track racing nationwide. Celebrating its 12th
annual running October 31 and November 1 at North
Carolina's Caraway Speedway, this year's event
promises to offer fans even more action than ever
from the Tour-type Modifieds, PASS Super Late Models
and more.
Tickets are currently on sale and are going quickly
from the Caraway box office. Fans are encouraged to
order their advanced tickets now by calling
336-629-5803 to ensure that they will be a part of
the pageantry and excitement of the 12th Annual
North-South Shootout.
"Each year since we've welcomed the North-South
Shootout to Caraway Speedway, the fan support has
been great," said Darren Hackett, Caraway track
promoter. "North, south and everywhere in between,
the fans have been calling us up in the past few
weeks and grabbing their tickets to our biggest
event of the season. The Modifieds have one of the
most passionate fan bases of any kind of racing in
the country and their fans follow them wherever they
go. There's also a lot of interest in the PASS Super
Late Model race and every other division we have
competing on North-South weekend.
"Whether you've been a loyal supporter of the
North-South Shootout over the years or you're
looking to make your first trip down to Caraway
Speedway, this year's race promises to be one of the
biggest ones yet and we look forward to seeing you

Special two-day general admission tickets for all
the North-South Shootout racing action on Friday,
October 31 and Saturday, November 1 are now on sale
for just $45 if ordered before 6pm ET on Thursday,
October 30. In addition, youth age 7 to 14 are just
$10 in advance. Two-day tickets for adults and youth
go up by $5 at the gate, so call 336-629-5803 now
for extra North-South Shootout savings.
Tickets for North-South Shootout Saturday, which
includes the 12th Annual John Blewett, III
North-South Shootout Modified feature and the PASS
Super Late Model race, are also available for a
special advance-purchase price of $35. Tickets will
go up to $40 if purchased at the gate on November 1.
Youth age 7-14 are $10.
Keeping the North-South Shootout family friendly,
kids age 6 and under are free all weekend long.
In order to take advantage of the advance pricing,
tickets must be ordered either by phone at
336-629-5803 or at the Caraway Speedway box office
by 6pm ET on Thursday, October 30. After that, the
at-the-gate pricing goes into effect.
The 12th Annual North-South Shootout also offers
fans free on-site camping throughout Shootout
weekend at Caraway Speedway. Trackside camping spots
are available for $100 for the entire North-South
Shootout weekend. Trackside campers must have pit
passes to stay in the track all weekend. Camping
opens Thursday, October 30.
The 12th Annual North-South Shootout event will
feature the Modifieds as well as the PASS South
Super Late Models, Southeast Limited Late Model
Series, USAC Midgets, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks and
Legends Cars. Shootout weekend kicks off on
Thursday, October 30 with practice for all divisions
at Caraway Speedway. Racing action gets underway on
Friday, October 31 with qualifying and several
feature events. The John Blewett III North-South
Shootout feature will take center stage on Saturday,
November 1 along with PASS and more.
Caraway Speedway is located in Sophia, North
