FOAR SCORE 50/50 JACKPOT FOR US OPEN RAINDATE TO START AT
$1501
Winner's Share From Saturday Portion Never Claimed;
Rolled Over To October 4 |
The
26th annual US Open at Lancaster Speedway got off to a tremendous
start on September 21 with a great crowd on hand to watch the first
night of racing. With the large amount of fans there was an equally
large 50/50 jackpot collected by the Friends of Auto Racing (FOAR
Score) Fan Club.
The winner’s share of the money collected was $1501, which was the
highest jackpot for Lancaster in several years. FOAR Score drew
three different winning tickets but no one came forward to collect
the prize. As per club policy the unclaimed jackpot will be rolled
over to the following event. That means the money will be added to
the jackpot for the postponed finale of the US Open on Saturday,
October 4. The lucky race fan that winds up the winning 50/50 ticket
on October 4 will receive a minimum of $1501, and with another large
crowd expected that total will increase significantly.
There will be some exciting consolation prizes for the fans that
don’t win the money. Second prize will be a pair of pit passes to
the World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway on
November 6-8 featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and Late
Models. Third prize is a pair of pit passes to Super DIRT Week XLIII
at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY on October 8-12
featuring the Super DIRTCar Big Block Modified Series. These are two
of the biggest dirt track races in the United States and are must
see events for any race fan. The tickets were donated to FOAR Score
by DIRTCar Northeast.
FOAR Score will give away additional prizes during the day on
October 4 but those winners will still be eligible for the money and
the ticket giveaway.
The 26th annual US Open at Lancaster Speedway concludes on Saturday,
October 4 featuring the Tommy Druar/Tony Jankowiak Memorial 125 for
the Race of Champions Modified Tour. The Late Models, Big 10 Super
Stock Series and TQ Midgets will also be racing heats and features
on that day. The full schedule of events will be announced shortly
at www.lancasterusopen.com.
