VMRS CHAMPION WOODY PITKAT
TO BE HONORED SATURDAY

Woody Pitkat, of Stafford Springs, CT, the 2015 top point man with the Valenti Modified Racing Series will be honored Saturday night, when the series presents its 12th annual awards banquet at the Best Western Executive Court Inn, 13500 South Willow Street, Manchester, New Hampshire.

Car Owner Peter Kulessa, of Sunderland, MA, Crew Chief Greg Felton, of South Deerfield, MA, and the # 42 Patterson Farms race team, will join Pitkat, for the championship presentations. The series title is Pitkat’s first with the New England touring division.

Kulessa and Felton are long time racers. The series championship is the first for Kulessa as a car owner. Felton is a former champion with Kirk Alexander, a three-time series champion.

Pitkat won two races in 2015 and was a strong competitor throughout the campaign with consistent top five finishes enabling him to make a run at the title despite missing a race because of another race related commitment.

Pitkat battled two-time series champion Chris Pasteryak, of Jewett City, CT, to the end of the season schedule.

In addition to the top-15 drivers being honored, the VMRS annual specialty awards will be presented including the Hoosier Tire East Award, Sunoco Fuel Award, and Magnus Transmissions Rookie Of The Year Award,

Additionally Jack’s Competition Engines Most Improved Driver Award, and the annual Bob Polverari Award, given to the competitor that represents racing professionally on and off the speedway will be presented.

Additional awards will be presented to competitors and series officials.

Social Hour begins at 4:45 PM with Dinner to follow at 6:00 PM.
