ROB FULLER
MOTORSPORTS AND 15-40 CONNECTION CONTINUE RAISING
AWARENESS OF EARLY CANCER DETECTION WITH DEBUT PSA
PSA Designed to Empower Race Fans With Education on Early
Cancer Detection |
Rob
Fuller Motorsports and 15-40 Connection have come
together to produce a Public Service Announcement (PSA)
to educate race fans on the importance of paying
attention to their health and empowering people to
take action that leads to the lifesaving advantage
of early cancer detection.
The PSA emphasizes the parallels between racing and
health issues. Knowing how a race car should
normally drive is key to a driver and team’s success
at the track, and any issues – no matter how small –
need to be checked out. Rob Fuller Motorsports and
15-40 Connection want race fans to realize the same
goes for one’s health. To view the PSA, visit

"This PSA is something that I really believe the
racing world will understand,” said Rob Fuller, team
owner. “The messaging 15-40 Connection is using in
associating the importance of addressing an issue
with an ill-handling racecar, or a racecar with a
vibration, to a personal health change within your
body makes perfect sense for race fans. It has been
an amazing relationship to date with the
organization, and I really believe that we are
starting to make people realize the importance of
recognizing a cancer symptom."
Just as a driver needs to know how a race car
performs at its best, race fans need to know how
they feel when they feel great.. When your car is
not running at its best, race teams take the time to
diagnosis the problem and fix it. If you are not
feeling your best the same logic applies. If a
subtle change in your health persists for 2 weeks,
it’s time to work with a doctor to figure out why so
you can be treated and get back to feeling your
best. This action also provides the lifesaving
advantage of early cancer detection. Cancer often
first reveals itself first as a subtle and
persistent change in your health. This education
could save a fan’s life.
”Working with Rob and the team has been an amazing
partnership,” said Tricia Laursen, Executive
Director, 15-40 Connection. “Their help in bringing
15-40 Connection’s new cancer conversation to race
fans has been so important. Asking race fans, ‘would
you recognize a cancer symptom?’ and introducing the
three steps to early cancer detection is a vital
part of what we do and we’re grateful to have Rob
and his team on board to spread this message to help
save lives through early detection.”
As 15-40 Connection points out 15 to 40 year olds
are diagnosed with cancer much more frequently than
young children, but survival rates for this age
group have barely increased since 1975. To learn

Rob Fuller Motorsports’ 15-40 Connection Modified
can next be seen in the final race of the 2015
NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) series at
Thompson Speedway on October 18. Fans unable to see
the action live at the track can catch the race when
it airs on NBCSN on October 22 at 8 p.m. EST.
