PURSE
ANNOUNCED FOR TTOMS EVENT AT SEEKONK
Preregistration Deadline Fast Approaching |
The
Tri-Track Open Modified Series (TTOMS) and Seekonk
Speedway announced jointly the purse for the 14th
annual Open Wheel Wednesday scheduled for Wednesday
June 28. The event has become synonymous with the
big names in racing as a direct result of the
$10,000 payday for the winner.
“Seekonk Speedway is excited to continue its Open
Wheel Wednesday $10,000 pay day with the Tri Track
Series,” said Ed St. Germain, Director of Business
Development for the Speedway. “Our fans love that
the big payday brings in top-tier talent and that it
has them racing full tilt every lap.”
While the event pays big to the winner, podium
finishers collect $3,500 and $2,500 respectively.
“The purse does not drop off dramatically” added
TTOMS Managing Partner, Wayne Darling. “Tenth place
still pays $1,000 and positions 15 through 26 will
each pay $800.”
The complete purse will available at
tritrackmods.com.
Back in January the Series officially opened
preregistration for the 2017 season. By
pre-registering race teams will be eligible for the
lucrative point fund and bonus plan.
There are only days left before pre-registration
concludes on April 1, 2017.
Three of the four TTOMS will be point races with in
excess of $30,000 in point fund money up for grabs.
The cumulative point fund at the end of the year
will be distributed among the top 25 in owners’
points. The complete schedule includes events at
Seekonk and Star Speedways and two events at the New
London Waterford Speedbowl. The final event of the
year at Waterford will be a non-point race.
The preregistration fee of $450 entitles teams to a
stake in the point fund as well as eligibility for
the growing bonus plan. Preregistered car owners
also receive one complimentary pit pass for each of
the four races on the schedule. Preregister online
