TRI-TRACK MODIFIED SERIES OPENS 2018 PREREGISTRATION
For Point Fund & Bonus Eligibility

The Northeast Race Cars & Parts Tri-Track Open Modified Series (TTOMS) has officially opened preregistration for the 2018 season. Race teams looking to compete in the four-race schedule with eligibility for the point fund and bonus plan must register by March 31, 2018.

The four race schedule includes the inaugural Memorial Day 100 at Claremont Speedway, the prestigious Open Wheel Wednesday 100 at Seekonk Speedway, the traditional SBM 125 at Star Speedway and the Haunted Hundred, also at Seekonk. The cumulative point fund of $15,000 will be distributed among the top 20 in owners’ points.

The calculation of the final point standings will be slightly different in 2018. Pre-registered teams competing in three (3) of the four (4) events will be eligible for the point fund; however, points from all four (4) events will go toward determining the distribution of the point fund made payable to the top-20 registered car owners.

“The goal is to reward the teams who support the series but also provide an additional incentive to run all of the races on our schedule,” said Jim Schaefer, co-founder of the Tri-Track Open Modified Series.

The preregistration fee of $450 entitles teams to a stake in the point fund as well as eligibility for the bonus plan. Preregistered car owners also receive one complimentary pit pass for each of the four races on the schedule. Checks made payable to Tri Track Enterprise LLC can be mailed to Jim Schaefer, 545 Sweezy Ave., Riverhead, NY 11901. For more information contact Schaefer via Facebook, email the series at info@tritrackmods.com or via phone at 774.229.6106 or 508.847.0565.

Secure online registration is also available at tritrackmods.com.

Managing partner, Wayne Darling is committed to keeping with the spirit that Schaefer and fellow co-founder Dick Williams created TTOMS.

“Every penny that is raised through registration will go to the racers,” said Darling. “This series has been and will continue to be for the racers.”

Over 50 teams preregistered for the 2017 season. Over 80 different drivers have competed in the Tri-Track Modified Series since its inception in 2014.
