'MODIFIED SERIES RECAP'

CHRISTOPHER AND BLEWETT EACH WIN AND TAKE SERIES POINTS CHAMPIONSHIPS
NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY
  #00 Ted Christopher grabs the checkered flag for the fourth time on the final night of racing in New Smyrna. Christopher also came out on top in the point standing for the Tour Type modified standings. Rounding out the Top 5 in the race were: #58 Eric Goodale, #71 Andy Seuss, #73 Jon McKennedy and #59 Matt Hirschman.

  Well, what can be said for #12 Jimmy Blewett. Blewett won all 8 SK modified races and walked away with the points lead easily. Seems all other drivers were just competing for second place. Following Blewett across the line on the last night of racing were #08 Tommy Farrell III, #10 Rob Schultz, #89 Brad Van Houten and #71 Jimmy Zacharias.

CHRISTOPHER OUT BATTLES SILK FOR 100 LAP EVANS MEMORIAL WIN
NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY
  #00 Ted Christopher wins the 24th Annual Richie Evans Memorial 100. #79 Ronnie Silk battled with Christopher but had to settle for 2nd. #09 Bobby Grigas III, #59 Matt Hirschman and #50 Kevin Goodale rounded out the top 5.

  Friday the 13th had no effect on #12 Jimmy Blewett. Blewett grabbed the win for the 7th time in a row in the SK modified portion of the series. If Blewett wins tomorrow night, he will have made a clean sweep of the SK divisional series.  2nd through 5th: #89 Brad Van Houten, #08 Tommy Farrell III, #71 Jimmy Zacharias and #10 Rob Schultz Jr.

02/12 - TED CHRISTOPHER BECOMES THE FIRST REPEAT WINNER IN TOUR MODIFIED RACING
NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY
  Night #6 of tour modified racing in New Smyrna finally got a repeat winner. After a duel with #79 Ronnie Silk, #00 Ted Christopher came out ahead with his second win in the tour modified series. #09 Bobby Grigas III slipped by for 2nd leaving #79 Ronnie Silk in 3rd at the line. #59 Matt Hirschman and #22 Chuck Hossfeld rounded out the top 5.


  In SK modified action, #12 Jimmy Blewett makes it 6 for 6! With 2 races left, will anyone else win? Can anyone else win? Maybe Friday the 13th, things will/can change? Following Blewett were #09 Bobby Grigas III, #91 Frank Ruocco, #08 Tommy Farrell III and #89 Brad Van Houten.

02/11 - SILK GRABS TOUR MODIFIED WIN IN ONLY HIS SECOND NIGHT OF RACING
NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY
  In only his second race in the New Smyrna Tour Modified series, #79 Ronnie Silk took home the checkered flag tonight. Coming in 2nd was last night's winner #00 Ted Christopher and 3rd was night #2's winner #59 Matt Hirschman.


  Can anyone beat #12 Jimmy Blewett in the SK Modifieds?  Many wonder. 'Showtime' has all bases covered so far in the division. #91 Frank Ruocco followed Jimmy across the line and first nighter #89 Brad Van Houten grabbed 3rd.


  In the 5 Tour Modified races run, there has been 5 different winners. In the 5 SK Modified races run, there has been only 1 winner! Go figure.

02/10 - CHRISTOPHER MAKES FOR THE 4th DIFFERENT WINNER IN AS MANY RACES
NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY
  #00 Ted Christopher grabs the win in Tour Type modified action on night #4. #12 Jimmy Blewett took 2nd place and #22 Chuck Hossfeld grabbed 3rd. Placing 4th was #79 Ronnie Silk in his first race of the series at New Smyrna.


  #12 Jimmy Blewett is on a tear taking home win #4 in SK modified racing. Blewett seems totally untouchable in the SK series at New Smyrna as he has won every SK race run so far. Following Blewett across the line were #09 Bobby Grigas III and #91 Frank Ruocco.



  In other New Smyrna racing news, our own Ryan Preece took down the win in the Florida modifieds feature tonight. Way to go Ryan!

02/09 - RYAN NEWMAN SHOWS THE BOYS HOW IT'S DONE, FIRST TIME OUT IN THE SERIES
NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY
  Sprint Cup driver Ryan Newman took the #7ny modified to night #3's Tour Type feature win. #00 Ted Christopher and #58 Eric Goodale followed Newman across the line. This was Newman's first modified race of the series. #21 Richard Savary also showed up for his first race in the series and #2x Ryan Preece got back into action tonight after a hefty wreck in Saturday night's action.


 
In SK modified action, #12 Jimmy Blewett three-peated, winning his 3rd of 3 races ran at New Smyrna. Trailing Blewett to the checkers were #91 Frank Ruocco and #71 Jimmy Zacharias.

02/07 - MATT HIRSCHMAN TAKES NIGHT #2 TOUR TYPE MODIFIED FEATURE WIN
NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY
  #59 Matt Hirschman held on from pole position to take the feature win on night #2 for the modifieds at New Smyrna Speedway. Following Hirschman over the line were #00 Ted Christopher, #22 Chuck Hossfeld,
                                         #50 Kevin Goodale and #73 Jon McKennedy.


  In SK modified action, #12 Jimmy Blewett takes second win in a row. 2nd through 5th were #09 Bobby Grigas III, #19 Kenny Horton, #59 David Cranmer and #79 Chris Jensen.

02/06 - HOSSFELD SETS FAST TIME BUT BLEWETT TAKES WIN
NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY
  #12 Jimmy Blewett survived the crash filled tour-type modified racing in New Smyrna to win night #1. Chuck Hossfeld had fast time in qualifying with Blewett timing 9th. Following Blewett across the line were #22 Chuck Hossfeld, #2 JR Bertuccio, #09 Bobby Grigas III and #58 Eric Goodale.


  In SK modified action, #12 Jimmy Blewett again tops the field. Finishing behind Jimmy were #09 Bobby Grigas III, #19 Kenny Horton, #71 Jimmy Zacharias and #10 Ron Schultz Jr. Jimmy Blewett had also set fast time for the night in SK qualifying....
